TRAINERS

Eric Dierks

Eric loves to share the art of good horsemanship bringing out the harmony between horse and rider through methodical training.  Beginning riding at an early age, graduating as an “A” from Pony Club, riding in the NAYR Championships and competing at Rolex, he has trained many horses to Advanced levels and has helped many riders to achieve their goals.

A graduate of Illinois State University with a BS in Environmental Health, he continued with his horse career as a competitor and instructor. Winning the First National Retired Race Horse Challenge in 2002, he promotes careers for thoroughbreds after their racing careers.  A big advocate for education, he coached the Area IV Young Rider 3-Day Team at the NAYR Championships, served on the Board of Governors for the US Pony Club and has published many articles on training.  Whether riding just to improve your skills or to compete, Eric enjoys passing his expertise on to his students.
